Code of Conduct

The organizers ask that all attendees bear the following principles in mind:

  1. LabPhon 18 will not tolerate harassment in any form, including (but not limited to) on the basis of race, ethnicity, language background, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, body size, or religion. Attendees who violate this policy will be asked to leave immediately.
  2. We ask attendees to be respectful of one another. This includes respecting others’ perspectives (linguistic or otherwise), time, and effort. Please act in good faith and approach each interaction with another attendee as a chance to learn something.
  3. We ask that attendees who frequently contribute to discussion to ensure that they also allow for other attendees to have the chance to be heard.
  4. We are all living through a pandemic, located in different time zones, often working from home in uncomfortable chairs, occasionally with children in our laps, sometimes taking on new responsibilities. We ask that attendees show patience and kindness to one another in these extraordinary times.

If you have any concerns about any of these principles or any conduct that arises during the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact us at labphon18@gmail.com.
