The Association is pleased to announce that Lauren Hall-Lew has joined the editorial team of Laboratory Phonology as an Associate Editor for 2018-2022. Dr. Hall-Lew is a Reader in Linguistics and English Language at the University of Edinburgh. She is a sociophonetician whose research focuses on documenting and analyzing differences in vowel, consonant, and prosodic production among speakers of different social backgrounds and in different social contexts, and the social signalling potential of such variation.
