SFU’s campuses are located on unceded traditional territories including those of the səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Semiahmoo, Katzie, Kwantlen, Qayqayt and Tsawwassen Nations.

Though LabPhon 17 is a virtual conference, we acknowledge that the work we do locally is situated on land that has long been a place of learning for Indigenous people. We also acknowledge that LabPhon 17’s presenters and attendees are located all over the world, possibly on the traditional territories of other Indigenous people. We encourage you to learn more about the territories you are on; here is a map you could use to get started: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/extra/app/uploads/2014/11/A-global-map-of-indigenous-peoples.pdf.
